Gift Cards

The Gift Cards window allows you to manage all sold cards, track their status, and perform balance deduction operations.


What can you find in the Gift Cards window?

Searching for a Card

  • By Recipient’s Email: You can find a card by entering the recipient’s email. This is useful if a customer comes to your store and wants to use the card for payment.

Card Information

  • Card Status:
    • Active (not yet used).
    • Used (balance deducted).
    • Pending (card purchased but not yet sent to the recipient).
  • Balance: The current balance on the card.
  • Transaction History:
    • All transactions related to the card.
    • Time of each transaction.
    • The employee who performed the operation.

How to Deduct Funds from a Card?

  1. Find the Card: Enter the recipient’s email.
  2. Request a Code: Click the “Deduct Funds” button. A 6-digit code will be sent to the buyer’s email.
  3. Enter the Code: The buyer must provide you with this code. Enter it into the system.
  4. Confirm Deduction:
    • If the code is entered correctly, the funds will be deducted.
    • If the code is entered incorrectly 3 times or its validity period expires, the transaction is canceled.

What Happens After a Successful Deduction?

  • Email to Buyer: A notification is sent to the buyer’s email with:
    • The deducted amount.
    • The remaining balance on the card.
  • Balance Update: The card balance is automatically updated in the system.
  • Transaction Record: The transaction is added to the card’s history with the time and the employee who performed the operation.

Important Points

  • Security: The 6-digit code ensures the security of the deduction operation.
  • Limitations:
    • The code is valid only for a certain period.
    • After 3 incorrect attempts, the code becomes invalid.
  • Notifications: The buyer receives notifications about the deduction and the remaining balance on the card.
